Privacy Policy

This page explains the information unclebill.online collects from visitors, what I do with it, and how you can ask for it to be removed. I have written it in plain language because the trust of visitors matters to me, and trust begins with being honest about what is happening.

What I collect

I collect information from you only when you choose to give it to me by filling in a form on this site. The forms here let you sign up for emails, respond to a Yarning Circle invitation, submit an event for the Community Calendar, share your feedback or your thoughts, and connect with me directly. Depending on the form you use, I may receive:

Every form tells you which details it needs and which are optional, and no form on this site requires more than your name and one way of reaching you. I do not ask for your address or any demographic information. If a future form asks for additional details, this page will be updated to reflect that.

What I do with it

The information you give me through a form is used only for the purpose that form states: to answer you, to list an event you have submitted, to send you the emails you have asked for, or to ring you if you have left your number for that reason. I will not use your details for any other purpose, and I will not send you anything you have not asked for.

I hold these details, with the person who builds this site for me. They are not shared with any other person or organisation, and they are not sold, rented, or passed on for any purpose.

How long I keep it

I keep your details only as long as they are needed for the purpose you gave them, and your email address for as long as you wish to receive emails from me. If you ask me to remove you, I will do so within seven days of receiving your request, and I will keep no record of you afterwards.

How to ask for removal

To ask for your details to be removed at any time, use the form at the foot of this page and choose Remove my details from your records. You do not need to give a reason. Every email I send you will also include a clear way to unsubscribe.

Things I do not do

This site does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising service. It does not set cookies on your browser to follow your activity. I have no interest in tracking you across the internet.

The site does load typefaces from Google Fonts so that the text appears as designed. This means your browser briefly contacts Google's servers when you visit any page on the site. Google may log your IP address as a result. I use Google Fonts because the alternatives have practical drawbacks; I mention it here so you know.

The site is hosted by Hostinger, which keeps standard server access logs (IP addresses, requested pages, browser type) for security and operational purposes. Hostinger's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.

Children

This site is intended for adult readers. I do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are under 18, please do not submit the signup form without the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy in any substantial way, I will update the date at the top of the page and, where the change affects how I use information already collected, I will email those affected to let them know.

Questions

If you have any questions about this policy, or about how your information is being handled, use the form at the foot of this page.
